Combat Readiness

The BAE Systems Combat System exists, is combat proven and benefits from ongoing Royal Navy and private venture investment. This combat system maturity will allow Leander to conduct military operation shortly after delivery. Our approach is to ensure the Leander "works when taken out of its box".

Producibility

Leander has been created in 3D and the CAD model has been maintained to ensure our engineering data remains mature. Cammell Laird and BAE Systems has shared their shipbuilding expertise to develop engineering outputs that are acceptable to a commercial shipyard. We have also worked jointly to achieve a "build to print" approach, thereby assuring export customers on the quality of build information available.
